Image ID 08-142 Title Annapolis, Brigade of Middies, Worden Field Date 1936 Description This photograph of the entire brigade of the United States Naval Academy - some 3,400 midshipmen - was taken from a helicopter and is the first such picture ever made. In autumn and spring, the entire brigade drills at dress parades on Worden Field on Wednesdays from 3:25 to 3:55 P.M., weather permitting. In the background is the dome of the State Capitol, the oldest state capitol still in use.
